Artist. Illustrator. Paint maker. In love with dogs. Obsessed with tools of the trade + making the world a little more beautiful.
I’m Inés, an artist and illustrator living in Vancouver with my husband and rescue pup, Boeing. I paint at my home studio, working mainly in watercolour, ink, and pastel to make art that is inspired by the diversity of nature, colour, myths and paintings of the past. Currently, my body of work is filled with highly detailed ink pieces, pet portraits, abstracts and loose landscapes.
I’ve been fortunate enough to illustrate for brands, magazines and weddings, as well as work on special art commissions, including my series of pet portraits (5% of the proceeds from each pet portrait goes to the SPCA Medical Emergency fund).
La Sirena is my latest project and creative baby. Through this brand, I offer handmade watercolours and tools for creatives.
Beyond my work in the studio, I have the great privilege of sharing my love for art and creativity by teaching children and adults classes in drawing and painting and running team building workshops at local studios, Phoenix Art Workshop, Green Apple Art Centre and The Luminous Elephant.
Online classes, a collection of original pieces, as well as a new print collection with a portion of each print sale going to some of my favourite charities/non-profits: SPCA, Vancouver Aquarium, Conservation International, World Wildlife Fund Canada, Watsi.
Let’s hang out on Instagram!
